Some people think that space exploration is a waste of resources while others think that it is essential for mankind to continue to explore the universe in which we live. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

In recent times, outer space is a matter of deep interest for most nations. Many are of the perception that space expeditions deplete essential resources while others emphasize the significance of such studies. In my opinion though both views have legitimate arguments, countries should effectively plan financial budgets to include such explorations.

People who criticize space studies contend on the many social issues that are to be taken care of primarily. Space exploration demands hefty financial and so, a significant share of the nation’s budget must be set aside for it. At the same time, countries throughout the world are struggling with their own concerns including economy, poverty, calamities and so on. In lesser developed countries in Africa, for instance, people are deprived of even the basic amenities and any space research is certain to meet with criticism.

However, considering the vastness of universe and the potential for finding places that sustain life, such explorations might prove useful. Experts say that human beings could not forever rely on the earth to live and instead emphasis the necessity to look for other planets as well. Though not very immediate, If the blue planet does not support life one day, then humans should be prepared enough to move elsewhere. This is particularly true given the fact that scientists over the years have been experimenting on the feasibility of life on nearby planets like Mars.

In conclusion, it is believed by many that interstellar expeditions are a waste of resources while others support such studies. Both views have valid arguments, in my perspective, nations should carefully plan to allocate a portion of their budget for their space experiments.
